Most of our eastern work is residential: a car at the door for an early flight, or a run home at the end of a long one. Because pickups are from homes rather than a rank, the arrangement is planned rather than improvised — you know which vehicle is coming and roughly when it will be outside.
The east is also close to Sydney Airport, which makes it a common choice for travellers who would rather not drive themselves and pay to leave a car parked for a week. We watch the flight on arrivals, so a delay moves the pickup rather than costing you waiting time.
Beyond the airport, the same vehicles cover point-to-point journeys into the city and across the harbour, weddings, and event travel where several cars need to arrive together.

The eastern work runs from the harbour suburbs — Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Watsons Bay — down through Paddington and Woollahra to the beaches at Bondi, Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee, and inland to Randwick, Kensington and Maroubra.
Almost all of it is residential. Pickups are from driveways and narrow beach streets rather than a rank, which is why the address goes in at booking and not on the day.

The airport run
The closest part of Sydney to the airport.
The east is the shortest airport run of any area we cover, and for a lot of residents that is the whole argument for a chauffeur: the trip is too short to justify parking for a week, and too early to ask someone else to drive it.
Arrivals are planned around your flight, so waiting time is already built in — you are not paying for a delay you did not cause. Departures are confirmed the night before, with the car at the door rather than circling the block.

Is there a train from Sydney Airport to Bondi Beach?
No. There is no station at Bondi Beach — the nearest is Bondi Junction, about two and a half kilometres inland, and you would take a bus or taxi from there.
How far is Bondi from the airport?
About 16 kilometres by road, typically 25 to 35 minutes outside peak. Coogee is closer and often quicker; Double Bay and Rose Bay are around 12 kilometres.
Can you get down the narrow streets around Tamarama and Bronte?
Yes, though an exact address helps more here than almost anywhere else in Sydney. The streets are narrow and steep and parking is scarce, so knowing the building rather than the beach saves time.
Can I bring surfboards?
In the right vehicle, yes — but it has to be arranged when you book, because a sedan cannot take them.
Why is a summer weekend transfer slower?
Bondi is a destination in its own right, so the eastbound roads carry beach traffic on top of the usual. A Saturday in January around midday is the slowest this route gets.
