Cruise travel means more luggage than a normal trip, and a fixed departure you cannot miss. We size the vehicle to your bags and set the pickup so you reach the terminal inside your boarding window.
Cruise passengers routinely travel with large or oversized cases. Tell us your luggage count when you book — including anything oversized — and we allocate a vehicle that genuinely fits it rather than one that only just does.
Sydney cruise operations run from more than one location. Include the terminal named on your cruise documentation in your booking and we will confirm it back to you.
Two terminals
They are on opposite sides of the harbour.
Sydney has two cruise passenger terminals, both run by Port Authority of NSW: the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay, on the western side of the quay in The Rocks, and White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle.
Arriving at the wrong one on sailing day is not recoverable in the time you will have, so the terminal on your ticket is the detail worth checking twice. Tell us which one when you book — "the cruise terminal" is not specific enough in Sydney.
White Bay
The access rule that catches drivers out.
Port Authority states that on cruise ship days, road access to White Bay is only available via The Crescent and James Craig Road — and not by Robert Street in Balmain. It also warns that navigation apps frequently suggest Robert Street, where access will be denied.
The limits at the terminal are tight, too: no long-term parking, short-stay pick-ups capped at fifteen minutes, and a drop-off outside the entrance measured in a couple of minutes. For a pick-up, Port Authority's own advice is to have the operator's number and ask the driver to call on arrival.

Flying in
Sailing day is a bad day for a tight connection.
Boarding windows are fixed and a ship does not wait. If your flight lands the same day you sail, the whole itinerary depends on it being on time; landing the day before removes the single biggest risk in the trip.
Where a same-day connection is unavoidable, the transfer is tracked against the flight, so a late arrival moves the pickup rather than forfeiting it. Cruise luggage also tends to be bulkier than people estimate — give us the real number of cases so the vehicle actually fits it.

Which Sydney cruise terminal will my ship use?
Check your cruise documents. Sydney has two — the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay and White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle — on opposite sides of the harbour.
Do your drivers know the White Bay access route?
Yes. Port Authority of NSW advises that cruise-day access is via The Crescent and James Craig Road and not Robert Street in Balmain, and that navigation apps frequently get this wrong.
How much luggage can a cruise transfer carry?
A sedan takes two large cases and a van five. Cruise luggage tends to be bulky, so give us the real count rather than the usual estimate.
Can you collect us on disembarkation morning?
Yes. Tell us the ship and the terminal; at White Bay the driver will call on arrival, which is Port Authority's own recommendation.
Should we fly in the day before we sail?
Where possible, yes. Boarding windows are fixed, and a same-day arrival leaves no margin for a delayed flight.
